Fiscal Sponsorship

The Center for Transformative Action is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, legally and financially responsible for all CTA Project Partners and activities. Projects Partners are not separate entities or affiliated organizations—they are CTA. Because they are an integral part of CTA and not separate legal entities, Project Partners are able to receive charitable donations and grants available only to tax-exempt organizations. 

CTA’s fiscal sponsorship services encompass:

• Inclusion in the corporate, legal structure of CTA
• Federal and state tax exemption for income and property tax purposes
• State registration for fundraising
• Contributions typically tax-deductible for donors
• Grants from private foundations do not impose expenditure responsibility or other onerous reporting obligations on the foundation
